Progressive House type 4 on the floor meets Roland Jupiter 8 analog sounds, meets some freaky rock and disco guitar. Created in Cubase SX3 with Reason 2.5 rewired and Sony Soundforge 8.

The mix you are listing to came about thanks to Cristian Paduraru whom produced ALL the tracks used in this mix and handed it to me (as well as other DJs) FREE of charge, with only one stipulation; create a mix.

With this in mind I took Cristian’s tracks and set about creating a mix that was about the music and not about me. A mix that would be a return to a few years ago when DJing was about the music and not about the DJ or the equipment/technology used. How would I achieve this you are wondering? Simple, I just mixed the tracks … yes, that’s it. I selected what I believed to be the 18 best tracks (out of 104 supplied … WOW) from Christian and made a mix; one take one chance! Everything you are listing to is live, if it couldn’t be done in the one hour and twenty-seven minutes that this mix took to create, then it was not done. There were no post-production tricks, no editing after the fact, just a mix!

ferocious mix of breakbeats, techno, surf guitar, acid and ambient textures, guitars and synths played by umbriel rising, fx manipulation by umbriel rising, some drums are sampled, some programmed and some incidental sound textues are samples. Mashed together in Live 6 - in your face !

Some really old sounds from a few years ago sequenced with the newest. The pad is recorded from tr-909 toms through an alesis nanoverb and and a sony reel2reel. Remix of show #28. Added one instrument, retuned bassline and kick, removed noise and added bunch of other simple things. Loudness and scratches.

This is a mix I've been wanting to do for a while but couldn’t find the right records … now I think I have. It's more of a electro-house mix and a little bit more on the funky/light side, not the deep minimal, progressive stuff that I usually lay down. It was really a fun mix to do and was inspired partially by a trip to see Daft Punk live in concert in August and was recorded for my latest podcast, but I thought I share with you guys. Hope you enjoy the mix.

It is with great pleasure to introduce,as the forth part of the DECKNOLOGY series,Hungarian dj/producer DANDY.
Péter Szigeti (7 June 1978) – Dandy, has been proving his performance abilities as a dj for more than a decade now.
His sets and style has gone through a lot of changes, and alter constantly.
The first experiences with music were determining for him, he started to play funk house, later on moved towards tech house and techno, and finally came the progressive trends.
The result of these influences is that his one-of-a-kind style would be hard to characterize, as it is constantly evolving. Nowdays he plays everything from deep to electro, vocals and progressive, depending on the demand. That’s why his sets and his live performance are both very entertaining and public-oriented.
